Artist Statement
**I am a strong believer in the idea that everyone has a creative side to them, if only they choose to harness it. I have been creative since I could hold a pencil. I haven’t really had a mentor who I looked up to for art, but I did have other influences and specific people in my life that have affected me, my way of thinking, and my art. I’ve always stayed true to myself when it comes to art; I have never let others dictate how I drew. I am a very detailed person and my emotions can be found in my art and possess a strong sense of who I am. A lot of my art is in pen/ink and pencil. The majority of my art is dark, deep in emotion. I also enjoy the fantasy kind of genre because I feel I can completely be imaginative. There are no guidelines because it’s whatever you want it to be. I let my emotions take me and my imagination rule the page. **

Floor Print

This was a project we did in life drawing to help loosen up and explore; finding out what else we are capable of. We used the floor as our canvas and painted the model we had in class. As he changed positions we had to redraw him using what we had on the floor. Then as you went on it became more and more abstract until we put paper overtop and pulled up a print of what we did. It was a fun project and a great learning experience for me.
